La storiografia francese dell’ottocento è ricca di lavori di buona fattura, basati su ricerche degli storici e dei letterati che “pescano” nella ricca ed epica storia di Francia. A questi si sono spesso aggiunti validi artisti che hanno illustrato queste vicende, dando vita ad uno stile ed una moda che divennero presto assai popolari. Il genere di “storia Illustrata” che ora Isomedia riprende con questi nuovi agili libretti.
In questo vi presentiamo la raccolta tratta dal Mémorial de Sainte-Hélène del Conte De Las Cases, con le bellissime illustrazioni dell’artista francese Charles Luis Bombled. L’opera si basa su due grossi tomi pubblicati da fratelli Garnier a Parigi nel 1895. Si tratta di quasi 2.000 pagine complessive, con oltre 240 illustrazioni a colori riguardanti la vita di Napoleone sull’isola dell’ultimo esilio, ma anche delle principali vicende che narrano le glorie dell’imperatore.
Una gran parte delle tavole è comunque dedicato alle truppe, napoleoniche e no, nemici, alleati ecc. Insomma i soldati di Napoleone: in campagna o in caserma, impegnati in vittoriose cariche o disastrose ritirate. Soldati semplici, sottufficiali, ufficiali fino ai marescialli. Tutti uomini che seguirono il grande “corso” o che ne subirono le scelte, le decisioni, i risultati e tutti insieme certamente,  il fascino.

Nel decennio fra il 1861 e il 1870 l'Italia conquistò la sua unità e la sua capitale.
Oggi, a centocinquant’anni di distanza gli italiani sono portati nuovamente a confrontarsi con la tribolata storia che fin qui ci ha condotti. La cosa, come narrano le cronache di questi giorni è vissuta in modo palesemente diverso da parte dei vari gruppi in cui è composta la moderna società italiana. Alcuni considerano questo percorso della memoria datato e inutile, altri, i più sentono queste “faccende” con più nostalgia, o con la comprensibile necessità di far valere i valori incarnati dalla nostra recente storia, ritiene non solo necessario ma doveroso tornare a riflettere su quegli avvenimenti, magari anche criticamente ma con lucidità, sgombrando il campo a vecchi schemi scolastici e celebrativi. Certo la visuale storica è cambiata nel tempo. Negli anni del Risorgimento e nella prima metà del secolo scorso, le vicende legate alla nascita della nazione erano considerate sacre ed intoccabili, col tempo lo spirito critico ha fatto capolino, spesso anche a scopo speculativo, ma certo non è l’argomento che ci interessa di approfondire. Tuttavia va detto che l’avvento del ventennio fascista prima e della tragedia della seconda guerra mondiale poi, hanno significativamente modificato molti punti di vista. Una grande guerra perduta, l'Italia sconfitta e devastata, la rivalsa della Resistenza, la fine della monarchia sabauda che aveva fatto l'Unità. Questa analisi, come è comprensibile, non è solo compito degli storici, ma è materia che riguarda un po’ tutto il popolo italiano.

Il Filastrocchiere è una raccolta di inedite filastrocche e piccole storie in rima per bambini dai 3 ai 6 anni. Da sempre a contatto con i bambini, cerca di interpretare empaticamente le loro necessità pedagogiche attraverso la comprensione delle loro domande, dei loro desideri e sentimenti nell’ambito del tempo trascorso a scuola, della storia familiare e personale, che ovviamente muta da bambino a bambino anche in conseguenza dei tempi che viviamo. 1618-1648 The thirty years war

From the 1° chapter: The alchemic and fantastic emperor.

Rudolph is born in Vienna at July 18 th 1552. It was child of the tolerant and good emperor Maximilian II of Asburgh that had married his cousin Maria, daughter of Charles V. Insofar Rudolph was doubly nephew of queen Giovanna the Crazy . As the illustrious ancestress, also Rudolph will give signs of disequilibrium toward the last years, and of strangeness and curiosity for the whole lifetime.

It was impassioned for a long time of occultism, alchemy and astrology. Of its sign of the cancer was said that it was saturnine, labyrinthine, mutable, shady and influenceable. In this passion he will be united to the other great neophyte of the subject: Albrecht Wallenstein.
